Trevaunance Cove is at the heart of the 'Badlands', what some have dubbed the surfing scene on this stretch of coast. As such the standard of surfing here is excellent.
What makes Trevaunance such a great spot is its consistency. Facing due north and flanked by high cliffs the prevailing south-westerly wind is ideal here. It takes a little more swell than neighbouring Chapel Porth and Porthtowan to get going, but that's more of a blessing throughout the winter.
On bigger days Trevaunance is not really a beginner's wave. It can be heavy and there are plenty of rocks.

Parking
There is a small pay car park by Trevaunance Cove and another car park a short walk away up the hill. You can also park at the National Trust car park at neigbouring Trevellas Porth, however this is pretty small and access is somewhat laborious.
