Portholland is in fact two beaches - East and West Portholland. At low tide they join up to form a wide stretch of sand. On higher tides they are two distinct coves joined by a walkway or the road over the hill.

Whilst both are pleasant little coves I'd say East Portholland has a little more to offer. Both are good family beaches with small cafes and the bathing is generally safe.

Access to both beaches is fairly level.

We come to stay every year and just love it.
We are a family of 4 and love the outdoors.
    Things we love are.
Its very quiet hardly any tourists.
    Clean
You can fish,  kayak, swim, coastal walks, run , surf, body board the list is endless..
But if you like a shop or 2 or a restaurant, pub etc..this place is not for you. There is nothing here just natural beauty just how we like it.
    Unspoilt and unique.
Only down side It now has a paying car park.
Be warned pay and dont be late back they WILL send you a fine ..
