Tucked away on the eastern fringes of the Scilly Isles is the little sandy crescent of Perpitch beach. Offering the usual Scillonian white sand, turquoise waters and verdant backdrop it is difficult to describe the beach as anything but stunning. What is more, given its location on the far end of the less-visited island of St Martin's you are unlikely to have to share the beach.

Perpitch is fairly sheltered from both the wind and the waves. Flanked by Gun Hill and Brandy Point the prevailing westerly winds are kept at bay while the Eastern Isles, just of shore break up the worst of the Atlantic swells.

The beach here is a short walk along the coast from St Martin's main settlement and quay at Higher Town.
