Situated on the more remote eastern shore of St Mary's, Pelistry offers a wonderful get away spot. You will often find the beach deserted outside the holiday season.

At low tide you can paddle out to Toll's island, home to a Civil War battery, Pellow's Redoubt. Swimming to the island at higher tides is not recommended.
There's lots to explore in the shallows off the beach and views out over the uninhabited Eastern Isles beyond.

A few minutes inland from the cove is the Carn Vean Cafe.
