    Not an area for family beaches. Treen Cove is a short distance east of the headland, overlooked by the crumbling Chapel Jane. 

    There are remains of Iron Age ramparts on the headland itself. The place has an atmosphere all of its own, perhaps best appreciated on a stormy day when the sea is crashing onto the rocks far below.
